“ Don´t listen to the negative haters and wanna be foodies on here. The mural on the back wall is the Nona of the owner in WW2 era Abruzzi, Italy. Tradition, simplicity and wonderful amoré put into every dish. Madrid is full of awful franchise Italian restaurants and this is only 1 of 2, family owned restaurants I give my money to. I have no idea why people actually listen or validate reviews by so called LOCAL GUIDES. First of all, everything they use on their menu is imported from Italy. The arugula and herbs they buy locally and organic. Mutti tomato puree = San Marzano tomato puree, the black truffle as well, the oil from their own family´s farm back home, the mozzerella used on their pizzas is scarmozza = smoked mozzerella, the mozzerella di bufala is literally from their family´s farm....and it´s expensive to import. We have been going here for 10+ years. They use 00 flour for their pastas and pizza dough.Their pizzas are thin crust which is like what you would find in Italy specifically ROME and MILANO. If you want thick crust pizza go to Domino´s or Telepizza---oh wait that is not authentic Italian food or even REAL PIZZA. This is not Tagliatelle´s = fake Italian restaurant - this is an authentic small, family owned business! They are a fine family from Abruzzi!!. Their ciabatta is from scratch from masa madre as are the breads. Lavazza coffee and Italian hospitality? What more do you want? Have any of the foodies or so called gastronomes ever worked in food and hospitality or even a restaurant? I can assure you that they do pretty amazing given their kitchen, staff and size of restaurant. People need to think before they write negative reviews. Talk to them! Why post on here if you are unhappy with your service! Be an adult or otherwise stay home and learn how to cook and treat people. If you go tell them Veró the English teacher La Americana Angliase & Carlos the Engineer sent you. ”

“ We sat out on the terrace here for a drink after lunch. Despite many trips to Italy I'd never heard of a limoncello spritz and ordered my first one here. It was really great, even better than the Aperol version I normally drink. We'll certainly be back to have lunch here and another limoncello spritz!! ”
